MapIT helps surveyors manage projects and order property certificates as part of their day to day work.

The existing product was designed primarily for desktop use, but many surveyors relied heavily on tablets and mobile devices while working on-site. This created friction in situations where speed, visibility and ease of use mattered most.

My Contribution

I conducted user interviews to better understand how surveyors worked in the field, including the constraints and behaviours that shaped their workflows outside the office.

The work focused on identifying the most important tasks users needed to complete on-site, then simplifying those interactions across tablet and mobile experiences.

I designed and iteratively tested responsive workflows across desktop, tablet and mobile web in close collaboration with users and the delivery team.

Outcome

The project delivered a tablet optimised experience that better supported surveyors in real working conditions.

The updated experience increased adoption and received positive feedback from users who were able to work more effectively on-site without relying on desktop workflows.
